Money Matters with Rachel Harris & Co

24 Mar 2026, 10:00 - 12:30
The Caledonian Hotel

Money Matters is a focused, practical morning with the amazing Rachel Harris at The Caledonian Edinburgh. It's designed to bring clarity to the financial decisions that shape long-term security and wealth, whether that’s through your business, your income, planning for the future or all of the above.

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Rachel Harris (aka @accountant_she) back to Edinburgh after her standout Summit session last year. So many of you told us how much her honest, intelligent and refreshingly direct approach to money resonated and we’re delighted she’s returning as a keynote speaker to talk all things business, profit and long-term financial security.

Because the reality is, pensions, investing, housing and tax can all feel like a lot. And across egg we hear the same thing again and again: “I know this matters, but I don’t know where to start.”

Money matters

That’s exactly why we’ve created this morning. So, we’re bringing together a panel of experts across business finance, legal planning, property and long-term financial advice to show how all the pieces fit together in real life. The aim is simple: you leave with a clearer picture of what matters, what to do next, and how to approach money with more confidence.

Rachel will open the morning by breaking down the foundations many women tell us they want to understand better, from how cashflow and profit really work to removing fear around tax and getting clearer visibility of your numbers. She’ll explore how your business can become a long-term wealth-building asset, not just a source of income.

Rachel will then be joined by Kirsty Mitchell, Director of Practice Marketing and Events at FreeAgent, whose work supports thousands of small business owners everyday. Together they’ll discuss how financial clarity in your business connects to personal security, and how the right systems can make money management feel far more manageable.

Our panel will also bring together expert perspectives across legal planning, property and long-term financial advice, the areas that come up time and time again as women move through different life stages: buying or selling homes, investing, planning for retirement, understanding pensions and ISAs, protecting assets and thinking ahead for family or business.

Hayley Robertson, a partner at Brodies, is a lawyer specialising in wills, powers of attorney, trusts, and estate succession planning. Her work focuses on helping individuals and their families protect themselves and their wealth, and plan ahead with clarity. Hayley is a proud (40+!) mum to her two-year-old son, Austin – her own little miracle after having gone through breast cancer treatment at age 35.

Ben Di Rollo, founder of Niksen Property, works daily with buyers and sellers navigating property decisions across life stages, bringing practical insight into how housing connects to long-term wealth.

Jack Ferguson, from Melville Independent Finance, advises individuals and business owners on pensions, ISAs and financial planning, helping answer the big questions around retirement, investing and future security.

Together, the panel will explore how these areas connect across different stages of life and business, and how to approach decisions with greater confidence.

After the talks, there’ll be time to stay, connect and keep the conversation going over coffee. You’ll also have the chance to chat with the teams from Brodies, Niksen Property, Melville Independent and FreeAgent.

If you’re building a business, managing income or planning ahead, this morning will help you understand what builds wealth and how to approach it with confidence.
