Tinariwen

Tinariwen - The Hoggar Tour

Thursday 21st May 2026

Hailing from the Sahara, Tinariwen are the originators of what’s now known as desert blues, a style of music they call assuf, meaning “longing” or “homesickness” in the Tamasheq language. Once fighters in the Tuareg rebellion, the band famously swapped rifles for guitars and forged a hypnotic sound of growling vocals, spacey guitar lines and clapping rhythms. Tinariwian really are true rock ’n’ roll rebels.
