The People & Partners Behind Women on Top Summit 2026

The People & Partners Behind Women on Top Summit 2026

Posted in Egg Updates

The countdown is officially on for our biggest event of the year. On Thursday 24th September, 100s of women will walk through the doors of Edinburgh’s Assembly Rooms for a day of honest conversations, new connections, big ideas and, hopefully, that little boost of confidence to take whatever comes next.

But days like this don’t happen simply because we book a beautiful venue and sell tickets. They happen because businesses and, importantly, the people behind them, believe that bringing women together, helping them build their networks and giving them the confidence to move forward is something worth investing in. And that’s what we love about this year’s partners.

Yes, their support helps us make Women on Top Summit happen, but there are also brilliant people behind these brands who genuinely want to support the women in the room too. Whether that’s with your business, your finances, your home, your career or simply sharing what they’ve learned along the way.

So, ahead of the big day, we thought you should meet some of them...

Royal Bank of Scotland & FreeAgent

We’re thrilled to share that Royal Bank of Scotland and FreeAgent are the headline sponsors of the Women on Top Summit for a third-year running!

Running your own business can be brilliant, but it can also be lonely, and having the right support, tools and people in your corner can make a huge difference. It’s why this partnership has always made so much sense.

A huge thank you to Julie at Royal Bank of Scotland Business, Marianne and Laura at FreeAgent (and their teams!), who aren’t simply supporting the Summit, but championing the women and businesses in the room too.

If you don’t know about Royal Bank’s Accelerator programme, it gives entrepreneurs access to coaching, events, communities and practical support to help them grow. Supporting female founders is a big part of that commitment.

Darren Pirie, Royal Bank of Scotland Head of Accelerator and Partnerships, said: “It is great to be the headline sponsor of the Women on Top summit for a third year. This event has continued to inspire women to found and grow their business and this year looks set to be the biggest yet."

“Supporting more women to become entrepreneurs is a key ambition of our Royal Bank Accelerator. As we aim to back 5,000 Scottish business founders in 2026, we continue to support events that give women the confidence to step up and build their own business.”

And of course, building a business also means getting to grips with the numbers, which is where Edinburgh-based FreeAgent comes in. The award-winning online accounting software built to make the financial side of running a small business that little bit simpler.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with the egg Summit for a third year. Scotland’s female founders are driving real innovation, but navigating business admin shouldn't stand in the way of that growth,” says Laura Jenkins, Director of Small Business Marketing & Automation at FreeAgent.

“Alongside our partners at Royal Bank of Scotland, we’re proud to back entrepreneurs with the digital tools and confidence they need to simplify their finances, including staying compliant with Making Tax Digital, so they can scale up and lead from the front.”

Business support and making the numbers feel a little less scary? We’re here for it. And, importantly, they’ll be there on the day too, so get your questions ready.

Melville Independent

Over the last year alone, egg has talked a lot about money. We’ve explored everything from pension poverty and why fewer women invest to career breaks, divorce, running a business and planning for the future. Because the financial decisions we make, or sometimes don’t know how to make, can follow us through every stage of life.

It’s one of the reasons we love getting to know the team at Edinburgh-based Melville Independent. Behind the pensions, investments and financial plans are people who genuinely care about helping clients feel more secure about their future and understand that money is rarely just about money.

Take Julie Burgoyne, Senior Independent Financial Adviser, who has worked in financial services for more than 30 years and has been part of Melville since the company launched in 2011.

For Julie, it’s the relationships that matter. Whether she’s supporting a family through the financial practicalities that follow the loss of a loved one or helping someone navigate the decisions that come with divorce, she understands that some of our biggest financial decisions happen at some of the hardest moments in our lives.

And sometimes the most important thing is simply having someone you trust to help you understand where you are now and what you could do next. No judgement. No silly questions. Just start the conversation. And you can do exactly that by the meeting the team at this year’s Summit.

Miller Homes

Home means different things at different stages of our lives. It might be buying your first place, finding more space for a growing family or starting again and creating somewhere that feels completely your own.

It’s something Sales Director Louise Caldwell and Marketing Manager Kimberly Walker at Miller Homes, both fellow eggs, understand well. They’ll be joining us at Women on Top this year, bringing their experience, incentives, advice and a rather exciting opportunity for the creatives in the room.

If you’re an interior designer, or simply have a seriously good eye for interiors, look out for the St Modwen interior design competition launching at the Summit. It’s an opportunity to design the first St Modwen show home in the West of Scotland, with the potential for longer-term work too.

We love seeing opportunities like this come out of the connections made at Women on Top. Who knows where one conversation on the day might lead?

Eastern Western Motor Group

We’re also delighted to have the family-owned Scottish business Eastern Western Motor Group joining us as a Women on Top Summit sponsor this year. They’re not only backing the day itself but bringing some of their own brilliant women into the conversation too.

Franchise Director Victoria Steel knows a thing or two about building a successful career in a male dominated industry and she’ll be sharing some of her own career journey, the lessons she’s learned along the way and how you can gain confidence and own your voice.

The team will also be on hand in The Exchange for some practical, jargon-free car chat, from servicing and running costs to tax and benefits. Because cars are another one of those areas where knowing a little more can make you feel a lot more confident.

And there is one other rather fun reason to seek them out... Fancy winning a MINI for the weekend? Pop by their stand. We’ll see you there!

YourScene

We’re so pleased to welcome YourScene back as a Summit sponsor this year. It’s been a big year for good egg and founder Gilly Bain, who marked 15 years in business by saying goodbye to YOURGB and hello to a rebrand and its next chapter, YourScene.

YOURGB was the name Gilly came up with when she first started the business as a freelancer while living with her Grandma.

“It has been the driving force of an unforgettable journey, and I’ll always be incredibly proud of everything it represents. But we’re now on to the next chapter: YourScene,” explains Gilly.

And, as anyone who’s ever been through a rebrand will know, there’s quite a lot that goes on behind the scenes! Today, YourScene creates immersive experiences and world-class events, shaping everything from the atmosphere and energy to those little details and moments you remember long after the lights go down.

So, who better to help us bring the Women on Top Summit to life again this year? We’re thrilled to have the YourScene team with us for the big day, and even more delighted to welcome Gilly back to the stage. We can’t wait.

A final thanks

The Women on Top Summit might be an egg event, but it has never just been about us. It’s about what happens when you bring 100s of women together in one room. Different ages, different industries, different stages of life and business, but plenty to learn from one another. And it’s about businesses choosing to back that.
