Wow, what a day we had! The Stoats runnyegg10k at Archerfield Walled Garden was everything we hoped for and more. The excitement was contagious, with runners ready to take on the scenic course. We took lots of pics, made new memories with good eggs, and of course celebrated crossing that all important finish line!
When we arrived, the atmosphere was amazing as all eggs gathered at the start line, ready to go—despite the less-than-perfect weather (perfect for running, of course). Meanwhile, our mini eggs were whisked away on their own magical adventure at the Fairy Training Workshop, leaving us free to enjoy the run knowing they were having a ball!
The course did not disappoint – kicking off with paths and trails that offered a perfect warm-up for what was to come. Yellowcraig beach, a sandy stretch that definitely challenged the legs, but with the breathtaking views of the coastline, who could complain?
We powered through, egged on (pun intended!) by the cheers of our mini eggs and the promise of crossing the finish line back at Archerfield Walled Garden, where we watched women supporting women cross the finish line. There were tears, hugs, lots of smiles, some soggy feet, and a well-deserved sense of accomplishment!
And let’s take a moment to appreciate the goodies at the finish line! Stoats really spoiled us with their tasty, nutritious oat bars, and those super-cool runnyegg socks from Mardy Bum Active Club were a dream to slip into after the run. Whether you were aiming for a 10k PB or just there to meet some good eggs and soak up the atmosphere, its fair to say everyone had an amazing time.
A big shoutout to Stoats, our amazing sponsor for the runnyegg10k! You can find their tasty Porridge Oat bars and Protein Oat bars in supermarkets all over the UK. With a focus on top-quality ingredients and eco-friendly packaging, Stoats are on a mission to become NetZero, and we’re thrilled to have had them support us this year.
A massive thank you to Breaking Strain for organising, Mardy Bum Active Club for the stylish socks and to Fairy Training for keeping our mini eggs entertained! Katy Wakefield for our fun warm up, and Anna Moffat for the incredible pics 📸
And lastly, thank you to everyone who made this day so special—runners, supporters, and of course, our magical fairy helpers! Let’s do it all again next year, shall we? Keep those trainers handy, because we’ll be back before you know it! 😉
And remember, if you're not an egg member yet, now's the perfect time to join! You won’t want to miss out on more egg events like this.
