Craigies Farm

Whether you’re planning a day for little ones or just want to get into the Halloween spirit, there’s lots going on at Craigies Farm with Spooky Tunnels, Tunnels of Terror and a new after-dark illuminated experience with spiders, scarecrows, skeletons and ghosts. Pick Your Own Pumpkins is also back by popular demand - it’s the closest pumpkin patch to Edinburgh welcoming thousands of pumpkin pickers to its fields every October. *egg members get 10% off event bookings during Halloween. Conifox Adventure Park

There’s Halloween themed days and nights at Conifox Adventure Park, on the outskirts of Kirkliston. From Saturday 14th October, families can ‘creep’ it real at the Conifox Pumpkin Patch where they’ll get to pick their own pumpkin to take home and carve. There’ll be prizes up for grabs for finding enchanted creatures around the Adventure Park too.

For a fun packed night, don’t miss the show-stopping Halloween Fireworks on Fridays and Saturdays from 20th – 28th October. There’s lots of entertainment planned for the whole family including a chance to enter The Dark Forest, see The Witches Labyrinth, go to Broomstick Flying School and see amazing flame-throwing talents of Labyrinth Circus or the Rave’N Dance Disco. Kilduff Farm

East Lothian’s Pumpkin Festival is back for its 6th year from Friday 13th - 29th October 2023. Check out the Pumpkin House, get lost in the bale maze, ride in one a rainbow wheelbarrow, stop to chat to the resident scarecrows or play some games at family-run Killduff Farm. They offer family friendly picking days, under 5s Little Picker sessions and Additional Support Needs sessions. They’re working with Beach Wheelchairs North Berwick to make the festival as accessible as possible. *egg members receive 10% off pumpkins bought at the festival. FIND TICKETS

Newmill Farm

You’ll find another lovely pumpkin picking experience on family-run Newmill Farm in West Lothian, about 30 minutes from Edinburgh. Expect tractor rides, safe play areas, a spooky wood, maze, a space undercover with animals to view, food trucks and more! Runs 14th - 29th October. FIND TICKETS

Edinburgh Zoo

Experience the thrill of swooping birds and learn about the behaviours of mystical residents at the Halloween Hoots event at Edinburgh Zoo. With a quick toasting marshmallow pit stop, rangers will then guide you through the zoo to meet weird and wonderful creep-uscular creatures, sharing plenty facts along the way. Runs from Friday 27th October through to Tuesday 31st October. Dalkeith Country Park

The Curiously Creepy Pumpkin Patch opens at Dalkeith Country Park from Saturday 14th to Sunday 29th October. You’ll have a chance to pick a pumpkin before descending underground to discover the rarely opened undercroft of The Orangerie! FIND TICKETS
