We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our small team!

You are a problem solver, trustworthy and discreet when dealing with confidential information. You can plan and prioritise your own workload to meet tight deadlines.
Job Type: Full Time (8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday) with some flexibility in special circumstances.
Company: We are a small family-run company with a portfolio mainly consisting of boutique luxury serviced commercial offices as well as some residential letting properties. Leach Holdings Scotland Limited handles accounting duties for several of our investment companies, primarily in the property/real estate sector (both commercial and residential) as well as in the medical field.
The main responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to;
- Date entry: recording financial transactions and balancing the accounts.
- Bank reconciliations: cross-referencing the accounts against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy.
- Monthly reporting: summarising the business’s financial position.
- Accounts receivable.
- Accounts Payable.
- End of year reporting: assisting with annual profit and loss and balance sheet reports.
- Business Strategy: creating budgets and forecasting and advising on how to improve the business.
- Journal entries.
- Checking that VAT coding and account allocating are correct to ensure we pay the correct amount of VAT.
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation via Xero, as well as Xero add- ons such as DEXT.
Desired:
- Have a minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience.
- AAT certified/or working towards a professional accounting diploma.
Salary: £27-£32k depending on experience.
