Becky Lumsden, Founder & CEO, PURE Spa & Beauty
Becky swapped corporate accountancy for candles and calm when she launched PURE in 2002, opening her first spa in Edinburgh and spotting a gap in the market for accessible, high-quality wellness for busy professionals. Fast forward to today: PURE Spa & Beauty has 13 locations across the UK, over 200 staff, its own product range, and more than £4.8 million in annual revenue. It’s also one of Scotland’s Fastest Growing Companies, with 81% growth in just two years.
Becky’s journey is one of strategic scaling, smart decisions, and showing up for the long game — and she credits her financial grounding with giving her the confidence to do it all.
Tsvetelina Hinova, Co-founder, Thankbox
A chartered accountant with a background in audit and financial planning, Tsvetelina is the co-founder of Thankbox, a digital group card and gift platform that’s been used by thousands of teams and communities worldwide.
Launched in lockdown, Thankbox has already sent over 100,000 cards and facilitated more than £6 million in gifts. With revenue climbing and big plans ahead, it’s a brilliant example of how creative, customer-led products thrive when backed by strong commercial thinking.
Tsvetelina leads the business side of the company, blending numbers with empathy, and showing that being a ‘numbers person’ can look a little different to what you’d expect.
